Comparing Design to the LEARN model of planning

I am looking forward to making the correlation to what I am learning in my Instructional Design Cohort to the LEARN approach to lesson planning. I am anxious to discover how what I recently learned in class (Lesson Designing Strategy) will shape my approach to organizing the over arching planning of 2nd grade curriculum. As our school's 2nd grade team leader, I look forward to sharing design strategy techniques that I will learn with my colleagues and our school's commitment to implementing the LEARN model to classroom lesson planning .

  1. Hmmm . . . I am not familiar with the LEARN model :-) So, I have something to "learn" from you as well. My guess . . . the two models will be VERY compatible :-) Priscilla

  2. The learn model allows flexibility in lesson planning to meet the varying needs of students. When making plans, activities are generated to meet the differing levels that exist among students in the class. Some students may need drill and practice where as others may be ready for self discovery enrichment.

  3. I'm happy to hear what the learn model is since that is also a new term for me. I look forward to hearing how the information and techniques in class affect your second grade class and curriculum.
